No. You can browse and search without an account. Signing in lets you save gifts, build people profiles, connect Pinterest, keep an occasion calendar, and return to your plans on supported devices.

Start with Discover when you want gift ideas or want to shop for yourself. People stores the people you care about, Calendar remembers important occasions, Saved keeps products and lists organized, Look Finder finds similar products from a screenshot or supported social post, and Messages lets signed-in members share ideas privately. Your Profile and Settings control the information and connections that shape your experience.

Add birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and personal moments. Each occasion can include a person, budget, notes, and recurrence. When it is time, Find a gift creates a search from that occasion.

Export an .ics file from Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook, then use Import .ics in Gimmie. Gimmie reads event titles and dates on your device before saving the occasions you imported.

Yes. Each occasion has Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCal actions. Google and Outlook open a prefilled provider event; iCal downloads a standards-based event file that Apple Calendar and most calendar apps understand.

You control what other people can see. Gimmie keeps public profile content separate from private taste inputs, and a saved list or Pinterest board appears publicly only when you choose to share it. Calendar files can be imported without giving Gimmie mailbox access. Open Settings, then Privacy & Data, when you want to review the available controls.
